EXPRESS SHOW JUMPING incorporating Trailblazers

SUNDAY 4TH NOVEMBER

Will be incorporating Trailblazer Qualifications (65cm to 95cm) if any one still wants to get qualified for 2019 😊

Class sections:  Juniors

Juniors riding ponies (148cms and under) must not have attained their 17th birthday before the first day (show jumping warm up day) of the Trailblazers Championship Finals.

Juniors competing in the Junior Trailblazers 65cm 12 years and under Championship must not have attained their 13th birthday before the first day.

Seniors

Once a competitor has attained their 17th birthday they may only compete in senior competitions. Juniors may compete in senior competitions on horses (over 148cm) on or after their 12th birthday.

Seniors may compete on ponies (148cm and under) in the senior 65cm, 75cm and 85cm competitions from on or after their 17th birthday to attain qualification for Senior on Ponies Championships. However, should the Judge for the competition deem the senior and pony completely incompatible the Judge has the right to exclude the Competitor from the competition. Sykehouse Arena may ask you to prove the height of your pony to the judge’s i.e. passport.

ENTRIES BOOKED AND CANCELLED BEFORE CLOSE OF ENTRIES WILL BE REFUNDED MINUS £2.00 ADMIN FEE. TO RECEIVE A REFUND WITHDRAWALS MUST BE BEFORE 12pm ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE EVENT. PLEASE EMAIL OR FACEBOOK MESSAGE TO WITHDRAW.  DECLARTIONS MUST BE MADE IN THE OFFICE PRIOR TO THE START OF THAT CLASS,  YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY £2.00 FIRST AID CONTRIBUTION – FAILURE TO DECLARE WILL MEAN YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMPETE!!

Horses and Ponies can compete in no more than 3 classes!

 Competitors will be given a time slot for each class, results and placings will be given at the end of each class – if you miss your time you miss your turn!!  Times will be published on the Friday afternoon before the event.

 CLASS 0 – CLEAR ROUND 50/55cm                                                                                                                         £6.00

CLASS 2 – 65cm                                                                                                                                                                   £11.00

Should either a senior or junior competitor compete in a 65cm competition then the same combination of horse / pony and rider would not be eligible to compete competitively on the same day in competitions of 85cms or above

ALL CLASSES WILL RUN SINGLE PHASE

Horse and Ponies will jump together but judged separately if sufficient entries.

Prizes: 1st £15 2nd £10 3rd £5 subject to entries (1 in every complete 5 in each section up to 3rd place) SECTIONS MAY BE COMBINED AT JUDGES DISCRETION.  ALL PRIZE MONEY MUST BE SIGNED FOR AND COLLECTED FROM THE OFFICE ON THE DAY.

Rosettes to 6th place

CORRECT RIDING DRESS TO BE WORN, I.E SHOW OR HACKING JACKET, LIGHT JODPHURS, COMPETITION BOOTS OR BOOTS & CHAPS AND A CURRENT REGULATION RIDING HAT.  ARMS COVERED AT ALL TIMES.  LONG HAIR FASTENED BACK SECURELY AND TUCKED INTO HAT OR JACKET.

RUN UNDER TRAILBLAZER AND BS RULES, OTHER THAN STATED BELOW.

FAULTS

WAIT FOR THE BELL – FAILURE TO DO SO WILL MEAN ELIMINATION!

KNOCKDOWN – 4 FAULTS

REFUSAL/CIRCLES/STEPPING BACK/STOPPING FORWARD MOVEMENT – 4 FAULTS 1st refusal, 8 faults 2nd refusal.

3 REFUSALS/DISOBEDIENCE’S/KNOCKING THE TIMING/FALL OF HORSE OR RIDER OR ERROR OF COURSE – ELIMINATION

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY and HEALTH & SAFETY

*No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, helpers or horses in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising therefrom.

*The organisers retain the right to refuse entry and to amend the details of the schedule if the instances of the programme requires, and to cancel any class with insufficient entries.

*Please be responsible when using the onsite bar, do not drink and ride!!  Anyone thought to be under the influence and therefore unfit to ride will not be able to compete.

*The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone who shows cruelty or anti-social behaviour to leave the showground.

*Please be responsible and considerate in the collecting ring and be aware of the other horses and riders around you.  Please listen to the collecting ring steward.

*Keep the area around the collecting ring gate clear and spectators please stand in the designated area to the side of the arena.

*Rosettes and prize money given to places 1 to 6 are subject to the number of entries.

*All prize money to be collected on the day of the show otherwise this will be forfeited.

 *The decision of the judge will be final – any objection should be made to the Secretary, together with a deposit of £20 which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld by the Committee.

*The organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards.

*Please keep all dogs on a lead and clean up after them.

*Please park sensibly and do not tie horses or ponies to the side of horseboxes or trailers.

*Children must be supervised at all times. Please keep young children away from the close proximity of horses.

*All entries booked and not taken must be paid for – no entries will be refunded unless the class is cancelled.

*Hats to current minimum standard and correct riding dress must be worn.  Show or hacking jackets, light jodhpurs or breeches, competition boots or boots with chaps- black or brown.  Long hair fastened back securely and tucked into hat or jacket.

* No whips to exceed 75cm or less than 45cm in length. Schooling whips are not permitted at any jumping show

*If you have a young/novice horse please place the appropriate ribbon(s) in its tail to identify this fact.

*Stallions must have liability insurance and MUST be clearly identified and ridden/handled by a responsible adult at all times.

*Please place litter in bins provided and keep the lorry park as free from hay and droppings as possible. There is a muck trailer for your use near the office.

*Please do not park spectator or grooms cars on the lorry/trailer park. This is a Health & Safety requirement as well as keeping the area clear for the horse vehicles!!! Thank you.
