10am prompt – Clear round, all to be jumped by 10.45am please.
Entries on the day for this need to be before 10.20am.
 
11am – 65cm
 
12pm – 75cm
 
1.15pm – Clear round, all to be jumped by 1.50pm please.
 
2pm – 85cm
 
3.15pm – 95cm
 
We have limited spaces in all classes, on a first come first served basis either on the day or to book before by pm.
 
Clear round – £13.00
 
All other classes £18.00

ARENA SHOW CROSS

SUNDAY 18th November 2018 – ENTRIES WILL OPEN START OF NOVEMBER.

PRE-ENTRY ONLY VIA www.sykehousearena.com ENTRIES CLOSE THURSDAY 15TH NOVEMBER AT 12 NOON OR BEFORE IF CLASS IS FULL.

ENTRIES ON THE DAY IF CLASS NOT ALREADY FULL SUBJECT TO A £3.00 SURCHARGE – ENTRIES BOOKED AND CANCELLED BEFORE CLOSE OF ENTRIES WILL BE REFUNDED MINUS £2.00 ADMIN FEE. TO RECEIVE A REFUND WITHDRAWALS MUST BE BEFORE 12pm ON FRIDAY 16TH NOVEMBER. PLEASE EMAIL OR FACEBOOK MESSAGE TO WITHDRAW. 

DECLARTIONS MUST BE MADE IN THE OFFICE PRIOR TO THE START OF THAT CLASS, WHERE EACH COMPETITOR WILL BE GIVEN THEIR NUMBER AND ALSO BE REQUIRED TO PAY £2.00 FIRST AID CONTRIBUTION – FAILURE TO DECLARE WILL MEAN YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMPETE!!

The course will consist of show jumps and cross country style fences

Horses and Ponies can compete in no more than 3 classes and this includes the clear round!

RIDING HATS TO CURRENT STANDARD MUST BE WORN AND BODY PROTECTORS ARE COMPULSORY.

CORRECT RIDING BOOTS, SHOW WEAR OR CROSS COUNTRY DRESS – ARMS MUST BE COVERED.

CLASS 1 – CLEAR ROUND – MAX HEIGHT 60/65cm                                                               

ROSETTES TO ALL CLEARS – max 2 mins in the ring                                                                                                     £10.00

Horse and Ponies will jump together but judged separately if sufficient entries.

Prizes: 1st £25, 2nd £15, 3rd £10 subject to entries (1 in every complete 5 in each section up to 3rd place)

Rosettes to 6th place

RULES:

The round will be timed from start to finish to determine placing – fastest time with the least penalties wins.

SJ SECTION – 4 FAULTS KNOCKDOWN OR REFUSAL/CIRCLES/ CEASING FORWARD MOVEMENT

XC SECTION – 20 PENALTIES KNOCKDOWN OR REFUSAL/CIRCLES/ CEASING FORWARD MOVEMENT

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY and HEALTH & SAFETY

*No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, helpers or horses in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising therefrom.

*The organisers retain the right to refuse entry and to amend the details of the schedule if the instances of the programme requires, and to cancel any class with insufficient entries.

*Please be responsible when using the onsite bar, do not drink and ride!!  Anyone thought to be under the influence and therefore unfit to ride will not be able to compete.

*The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone who shows cruelty or anti-social behaviour to leave the showground.

*Please be responsible and considerate in the collecting ring and be aware of the other horses and riders around you.  Please listen to the collecting ring steward.

*Keep the area around the collecting ring gate clear and spectators please stand in the designated area to the side of the arena.

*Rosettes and prize money given to places 1 to 6 are subject to the number of entries.

*All prize money to be collected on the day of the show otherwise this will be forfeited.

 *The decision of the judge will be final – any objection should be made to the Secretary, together with a deposit of £20 which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld by the Committee.

*The organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards.

*Please keep all dogs on a lead and clean up after them.

*Please park sensibly and do not tie horses or ponies to the side of horseboxes or trailers.

*Children must be supervised at all times. Please keep young children away from the close proximity of horses.

*All entries booked and not taken must be paid for – no entries will be refunded unless the class is cancelled.

*Hats to current minimum standard and correct riding dress must be worn.  Show or hacking jackets, light jodhpurs or breeches, competition boots or boots with chaps- black or brown.  Long hair fastened back securely and tucked into hat or jacket.

* No whips to exceed 75cm or less than 45cm in length. Schooling whips are not permitted at any jumping show

*If you have a young/novice horse please place the appropriate ribbon(s) in its tail to identify this fact.

*Stallions must have liability insurance and MUST be clearly identified and ridden/handled by a responsible adult at all times.

*Please place litter in bins provided and keep the lorry park as free from hay and droppings as possible. There is a muck trailer for your use near the office.

*Please do not park spectator or grooms cars on the lorry/trailer park. This is a Health & Safety requirement as well as keeping the area clear for the horse vehicles!!! Thank you.
